How does a Blog differ from a Wiki?

Although a blog is a website that promote a knowledge of collaborative sharing, a blog is very much different from a wiki. A blog is an online webpage that is written from the perspective of one person. The blog owner is able to create a post or a discussion about a particular subject. As readers have the opportunity to comment on a specific subject, the blog owner is able to reply to their readers. A blog owner is the only person who can make changes to the web site. [1] For the most part, blogs can be one whole site or it can be embedded into an existing site.

On the other hand, a wiki is not a social media website, but it is a reference website that defines terms that people don't know. [2] A person can randomly write, change, or delete an article about a particular subject. In order to make the website work, it relies on the community to recognize each other's work by agreeing or disagreeing with each other.

1. Are factual information written from a personal stance

2. Require a post for discussions (Chronologically)

3. Develop a community of its own

4. Can only be edited by the blog owner
