Talk:Tragedy

From LitWiki

A good start to defining "tragedy," but you still have some work to finish.

First off, as I pointed out several times, the format of this post is incorrect. Look at any other Wikipedia posts to see the correct format.

Formatting of references is off. Again, see how Wikipedia does them. Where should the superscript number for a reference appear? Is just pasting in a URL enough for a reference? Also, references and citations are not complete. Your second sentence mentions someone named Dunkle and his essay, but there's no corresponding reference. Why not? You know that every sentence that contains cited material needs a corresponding reference? It's not enough to just stick in a reference at the end of a paragraph. Also, nothing in "General Characteristics," "Tragedies and Tragedians," or "Some views" are cited at all. Why not? If the same is source is cited multiple times, how should it appear in the references section?

Tragedy only takes one form: drama. While other forms of literature might borrow from the genre of tragedy, a novel, etc. — by definition — is not a tragedy.

Are all images relevant? Why are two in the center and one on the right? How should they appear? Should they be cited?

Should key words that link to other pages on the wiki be linked every time they are used? Or will once do?

Please make these corrections by Friday, 11/14/14. Tweet @WritDM when the post is ready. Thanks.
