Globalization

From LitWiki

A fusing of people, places, ideas, and cultures into a single unit bounded by the elements of new media. This single unit can be seen in the growing number of international businesses and their ability to operate from different locations worldwide simultaneously (Lister 10). It is the creation of a new sense of the world as far as who we are as individuals and groups, and how these groups interact. It can be said that a good deal of this new worldwide culture comes out of U.S. culture; it is not a merging of several different cultures, just an expansion of American ideals and thoughts (Stein 201).
