Background

Norman Mailer was an American novelist, journalist, a father, a husband with a enormous ambition of being the best in his days. His wife was Adele Morales Mailer. Before the incident, Mailer was famous for his book called "The Naked and the Dead" written in 1948. He is a presidential position seeker who used to settle for running mayor of New York city. He was as pugnacious in real life as in print, engaging in famous feuds and fights. He champaioned personal freedom and civil liberties, calling himself a "left conservative" and he was Enemy#1 of the Women's Movement In 1960, He and his wife were heavy drinking, chronic use of marijuana, varied pills (prescribed and otherwise), and sexual misadventures with multiple lovers—sometimes singly, but also at orgies. They broke all the rules with abandon.
