This is really an extension of [[Perestroika 5.8|Act Five, Scene 8]]  where [[Harper Amaty Pitt]] decides to move on with her life and leave [[Joseph Porter Pitt]]. Harper is on a night flight to San Francisco, and when her plane reaches thirty-five thousand feet, she can see spirits rising up from the earth and repairing the ozone layer. Harper also realizes that progress may be painful but it needs to be done.

They are discussing the fall of the Berlin Wall, and the state of affairs in Russia. Louis gives a breif history of the importance of the Bethesda Angel. She landed in a Temple sguare in Jerusalem and where her foot touched the ground a fountain shot from the ground. This fountain had healing powers, yet it ran dry when the Romans destoryed the temple. Prior's last words are of hope the world will continue to go around.

Summary

Prior, Louis, Belize, and Hannah are in Central Park sitting around the fountain of Bethesda. It is a cold, yet bright sunny day.
