Joe is sitting in Roy office. Roy is doing a lot of business on the telephone. In scene 2 he states that " I wish I was an octopus,a fucking octopus. Eight loving arms and all those suckers (17). Roy was letting us know the phone task is a multiple job. Roy uses lots of profanity while Joe is waiting. Joe get upset when Roy uses the "Lord's name in vain (20). Joe was offered to go to Washington for a job with Internal Affairs. Roy wanted an answer from Joe right away.
