Freytag’s Formula

Freytag's Formula was created by <a href= "http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gustav_Freytag"> Gustav Freytag </a> in 1863, giving a guide to writing a <a href= "http://www.britannica.com/EBchecked/topic/601884/tragedy"> tragedy </a> . There are six parts to the formula, <a href= "http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Exposition_(narrative)"> exposition </a> , <a href= "http://wiki.answers.com/Q/What_is_the_exciting_force#slide=1&article=What_is_the_exciting_force"> exciting force </a> , <a href= "http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/rising+action"> rising action </a> , <a href= "http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Climax_(narrative)"> climax </a> , <a href= "http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dramatic_structure"> falling action </a> , and <a href= "http://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/catastrophe"> catastrophe </a> .
