Credibility

A contact page should be included on a website in order for it to appear credible. Contact information provides the audience an idea of whom is responsible for the content. In Writing for Digital Media, Carol suggests ways for a website to appear more credible. Carroll states providing “full contact information and a way to get to it on every page” is essential towards providing credibility.

Types of Contact

Full contact information includes a name and email address. Sometimes individuals can provide a business phone number or business address, however it is not necessary. Other types of contact to include are Twitter, Facebook, or any other social media website.

When the audience has questions, they can contact the individual responsible for the website.
