Defintion

Literature is defined by Merriam-Webster Online as " writings having excellence of form or expression and expressing ideas of permanent or universal interest". This definition is generally the most accepted, as it allows for literature to expand fully into all that it can be. Literature can be divided into many sub-fields which encompass all the myriad variations of creative writing.
