Character

The literary term character can best be described as "the fictional representation of a person" (26). Many books, short stories, or any pieces of literature telling a story have a character or characters that take you along. The narrator uses characters as a way to let you step into their stories and let you experience what is happening. Without characters, there would not be stories.
