The Metamorphosis
Summary
Gregor Samsa is a traveling salesman who financially supports his family. He wakes up in the morning to find out he has been transformed into a dung beetle. He is in shock after his reality sets in and tries to figure out how is going to get to work. His family is horrified and keeps Gregor locked in his room, though they try to assimilate the change. She is the only one that will bring him food. Gregor eventually dies, leaving his family free.
