Scene 9 is very short but important. It deals with Roy Cohn making a deal with God, or as the play puts it, “a great flaming Aleph.” God is consulting, and making a deal, with Roy over a family court issue, a paternity, and abandonment suit. As Roy puts it, God is “guilty as hell, no question." Roy also tells God "not to worry, darling, I will make something up.”
