Randy Drummond is a State of Georgia retiree effective 01 October 2023. With completion of over 31 years as a civilian employee with the Georgia Army National Guard, he worked the first 27 years as the Director of the Environmental Stewardship Branch ensuring compliance with all federal and state environmental regulations for 64 sites across the state. For the last 4 years before retirement he was Director of the Master Planning and Military Construction Project Funding Branch. He was an active duty Army Engineer Officer for 4 years and an Army National Guard Engineer Officer for 7 years prior to working as a civilian with the State Department of Defense. After graduation from the University of Georgia in 1980 with a degree in geology he worked in the oil fields of southern Oklahoma for 3 years.

Married to his high-school sweetheart, he has two daughters and one grandson. His passions are family and music with the acoustic guitar being his instrument of choice.

He is currently enrolled as a graduate student with Middle Georgia State University in the M.A. program for Technical and Professional Writing. His plan for the next phase of life is to be a technical writer who successfully conveys complex information to various audiences, similar to his tenure developing regulations, standard operating procedures, presentations, and curricula over the last 31 years.
