The literary term <b>character</b> can best be described as "the fictional representation of a person" (26).  Many books, short stories, or any pieces of literature telling a story have a character or characters that take you along.  The narrator uses characters as a way to let you step into their stories and let you experience what is happening.  Without characters, there would not be stories.

Character

The literary term character can best be described as "the fictional representation of a person" (26). Many books, short stories, or any pieces of literature telling a story have a character or characters that take you along. The narrator uses characters as a way to let you step into their stories and let you experience what is happening. Without characters, there would not be stories.
