While both wikis and blogs are helpful and informative in today's electronic world, they have certain differences that make one or the other more appropriate for certain applications.
A blog is an individual's writings and submissions that coincide with that blog's theme, whatever it may be. Blog entries then may be commented on by the viewers of that blog. This can be a helpful way to gain feedback from an audience.
A wiki is a web-based document that may be changed and edited by anyone with the appropriate clearance. In some cases, such as wikiopedia, anybody is allowed to alter an article's contents.
